KETO RECIPE: Cinnamon Almonds

Almonds are one of my favorite keto snacks. I keep them at my desk or in my bag for a perfect little pick me up if I am feeling low in energy or hungry. And I LOVE cinnamon! In addition to its tasty spice, it also has a lot of health benefits. It is naturally anti-inflammatory and is really good for our skin.

You can add some sweetener to this recipe if you are looking for a sweet keto snack. I prefer the savory combination of pink salt and cinnamon. 

I love pairing these almonds with some Keto Chocolate

Ingredient list

  • 2 cups of almonds
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil or ghee

Directions

  1. Mix together cinnamon and salt in a bowl.

  2. Heat up a skillet over medium heat, once hot add the almonds to the dry skillet and lightly brown them, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add browned nuts into bowl with cinnamon mixture and 1 tbsp of olive oil and mix until nuts are coated.

  4. Pour coated nuts onto a cookie sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat to cool.

You can also roast the almonds for 1 hour in a 250 degree oven
